Day 4 - Turany to Huja (Romania)

Mileage from home: 1585
Hurrah, made it to Romania after passing through the rest of Slovakia, through the corner of Hungary (after accidentally getting to the Ukranian border - don't just follow the sat-nav!).
Got soaked after early heat. Rode through a terrible storm - zero visibility, lightning, winds..... Amazing.
Liked Slovakia, especially the rural bits we went through. Think Dino has fallen for the lady running the hotel by the lake and wants to go back. Pretty similar to Polska really but arguably a little less developed. An awful lot of Ramany Gypsies in Slovakia, more than we've seen in Romania so far. Despite the accidental detour to Ukraine and taking just backroads, we made it into Hungary pretty quickly.
Didn't really see much of Hungary, literally due to the rain, but we should give it more time coming back. Certainly the women were stunning. Good ole Finnish heritage. Couldn't understand a word though. Slovakia was easy - they all speak perfect Polish. Passed quickly and next thing I know we're in Satu Mare in Romania - soaking wet. We copped-out and found another great rural (empty again) hotel in the mountains. £10/night with breakfast - why did we bring camping gear? Can't communicate here at all - German seems to work best!
Tomorrow I have promised Dino an easy day. Merry Cemetary and then camping near the mountain railway so that we can do the train the next morning. My chain is shagged but taking it stready so maybe it'll last. Roads here pretty bumpy but the bikes are built for this and the great mointain roads.
Ass-pain: 5/10
Beers: 18 + 2 rums + 2 cherry grappas
Mechanical problems: 1
Theft count: 0
